Employee
programme
The last 40 years have seen a massive change in the workplace.
Women are now represented in many more roles and at all levels
of organisations. The ethnic background, religions and lifestyles
of employees are more varied than ever. More disabled individuals
are entering the workplace.
The law has also developed to provide
a foundation for how we all should work together in this more
diverse environment. These laws have a direct impact on everyone -
employees and managers.
Through case studies, quizzes and video
scenarios employees will get to know how the law demands they
should treat their colleagues.

Manager
programme
It is the manager's responsibility to build a working environment
that is free from discrimination and harassment.
Managers first learn about the law
by taking the employee programme. Then in this module they
learn the three steps to achieving this goal:
- providing a role model
- building a climate of respect, which minimises the possibility of harassment
- promptly and sensitively handling problems if they do arise. Active involvement in increasingly challenging case studies makes managers aware of their role in building diverse teams and avoiding legal problems.
