Q. I have heard horror stories
about e-learning! Why should I consider using it?
A. Three early problems arose
with e-learning:
i. The technology was not really ready, it is today.
ii. Employees were not comfortable
enough using PCs to learn.Virtually everyone is now much
more comfortable using all kinds of
technologies, for all sorts of purposes.
iii.The content was not good
enough. High quality content is still
vital and our programmes are designed to
maximise the learning experience.
Overall e-learning has come a
long way and is set to see rapid growth.
Q. I have heard that due
to the complexity of the software, e-learning can be
slow to use.
A. Some companies have
experienced slow speeds. However, the technology we
use has been proven to deliver quickly and efficiently to
thousands of users.
Q. If an e-learning programme
is not designed specifically for a company, will it meet the
training need?
A. In some areas fully customised
training may be vital. However, HR law is the same for everyone.
What is important is that the training is high quality,
has your company's 'look and feel' and has
links to your company's information.
Q. We have some employees
who do not use a PC and may not be comfortable using e-learning.
A. There are two ways we can
overcome this problem:
a) We can help you set up e-learning centres where employees
can go to do the training. We can arrange sessions to train
them how to use the e-learning.
b) Alternatively,
we can arrange normal classroom type training courses if required.
Q. We have a number of employees
who work from home or travel extensively. Is this a problem?
A. All our programmes are accessible
via the internet at any time, from anywhere in the world.
Employees will be able to take the courses at home or while
travelling.
Q. Do you need high specification
PCs to run the programme?.
A. Our experience is that over
90% of PCs used in business today can run these e-learning modules.
For example: our programmes are
designed to be used both with and without sound, so if employees
do not have sound capability on their PCs this does not
matter. If you have other questions please contact us on:
